House for Sale

Yup, our house is for sale! We met the nice people from comfree.com last week as we are listing it as a private sale. $700 that comfree charges is much easier to swallow than the $15-20,000 in realtor fees. I'd like to keep that extra money in my own pocket...kinda reminds me of that commercial about the banks and it sings a little like this for those of you that know it: "hand in your pocket, hand in your pock-et,.. hand in your pocket"!

The "For Sale" sign went up last Thursday and we've had a few inquiries and had someone over to view the house tonight. That meant today was a cleaning day for me today....it needed to be clean but now it is super-uber clean! If you or anyone you know is living in Edmonton and wants to move or is planning a move to Edmonton you can check us out at: www.comfree.com and type in code #14161.

As the plans to sell this house begin, I'm getting excited as our new house is getting closer and closer to being done. Here are a few pics:

( a picture of the front of the house- it's not my dream home from the outside but I still like it and the fact that Jose is building it is even more special...until he builds us our custom dream home one day!)

(two views of my kitchen..the door there goes to my pantry)

(our living room off the kitchen)

(the front entrance)

(upstairs)

(the hallway from the top of the stairs...it's sort of hard to see but off to the left are the two bedrooms and then the doorway to the right is the guest bathroom...straight down the hall leads to the bonus room...and behind me which you can't see is our bedroom)

(the wall entertainment unit in the bonus room that Jose designed...big enough for his 60" big screen T.V. which we don't have...and don't tell him, but which we don't plan on getting for a very, very, long time!)
p.s. don't mind the cabinets are upside down- they have to fix that yet

(my master bathroom)

And now for my favorite part of the new house:

(view of part of our backyard from our bedroom window)

(view of the front of the house and the yard on the side leading into the backyard)

It's not quite like living out in the country but with this yard, it's the next best thing while living in the city. So, there you have it folks. I'll probably post more pictures when we move in just over a month and are all settled in. (or at least trying to!)
